Žiar Dolinky ski centre is situated on the foothill of the south slopes of the Western Tatras mountain range, 10 km from Liptovský Mikuláš. The length of the slopes is 0.65 km. The ski centre is suitable for the beginners but also for the intermediate skiers. In the centre you will find 2 ski lifts with two slopes one of which is mechanically snowed. The ski slopes are prepared daily, suitable for the beginners as well as advance skiers. The ski centre also offers the evening skiing. The third ski slope for the littlest skiers was added in 2018. Žiarska Valley is a paradise for cross-country skiing and ski alpinism lovers during the winter season. In case of good weather, well prepared cross-country skiing tracks are maintained during the entire winter season in the length of 20 km. Žiarska Valley is also suitable for the ski alpinism lovers and very advanced skiers. International ski alpinist cup “Bokami Západných Tatier” is organized here regularly
